Last week Milayla mastered how to stand up in her crib while wearing her sleep sac. It was quite the feat and we were so impressed when we went in to get her from nap that we ran to get a camera to snap a photo. Well, she was not too happy about that and a teary photo was the result, along with plenty of apologetic cuddles :).
The excitement about her newly mastered skill seems to have given her a huge confidence boost and motivation to be standing and walking. In the last week, Milayla has been quickly pulling herself up on anything and everything (shoe racks, beds, bathtub, chairs, couch, toy chest, table legs...you get the idea), walking along objects while holding on, and daring to let go and stand on her own (which she can do for about 10 seconds before she needs to grab on or fall down).
With all the tumbling she has done, there have been plenty war wounds...
but her spirits cannot be dampened! Her most recent attempts are to try and walk with the activity walker. She loves it.

While it may still be a while off before balance, strength and coordination are all in her favour of walking, we love seeing how ambitious and dedicated she is. In the mean time, she loves being able to dance while standing. This girl has so much heart!
