The weekend following Easter, we were fortunate to have some lovely, sunny weather. Since the Osterwiese (Easter fair) was still going on we decided to take advantage on the blue skies and bike over with the kids.
We had no shortage of squinty-eyed photos :)
We convinced Atticus to give the large carpet slide a go. See that expression on Atticus' face in the photo on the right? You can tell he really loved going down the slide.
To our surprise, Atticus was pretty excited about going down a second time. Just check out those smiles following the second run.
We had a fun time spotting all the different jumbo Easter Eggs.
Milayla went for her first pony ride.

Riding that pony was pretty serious business.
Undoubtedly, the biggest hit for Atticus was the Old Fashioned Car Ride that he rode with Mommy.
(Forgive the extremely overexposed photos. This is what happens when you hand your camera over to someone else while it is in manual mode before adjusting your settings for the new light measures. Jason still did a great job snapping some photos though, especially when you consider my forgetfulness!)
Despite all the things to see and do, Milayla was still eager to get out of the stroller for cuddles.
And after we had exhausted the sites at the fair, we sat and enjoyed a picnic dinner that we had packed; Raw California Rolls (Parsnip Rice with Avocado - delish!). Of course, Atticus was sure to help us pick out a pretzel from the fair to accompany our Sushi.
A nice way to spend a Saturday afternoon!
