We love running.
And we love going for family runs on Saturday mornings.
Unfortunately, we had a sick little girl last weekend and we didn't think the wind on her face in the stroller would be the most wonderful thing for her so it was going to be solo-running in shifts in order to keep Milayla out of the chilly wind. Milayla, however, is not one to be kept on the sidelines and she grabbed her shoes and began knocking on the front door. Hint taken.
So, Jason volunteered to forgo his run and loaded the kids into the bakfiets to bike along side Mommy while she ran.
I know there are some incredible runners out there who have the world's best coaches who ride beside them in vans/golf carts, but my coaching team is truly greater than any of them. They make for great conversation, they motivate, they add laughter, they sing to me, and even want to hold my hand the whole way. Their smiles and words of encouragement really do help give that extra boost to push harder and enjoy the run. And that is all true for more than just running. In day to day life, they are always there to support, encourage and love one another.
Whether just for running or for life, I really could not have picked a better team than the one that Heavenly Father has blessed me with.
I may not be the best runner, but they love me just the same. I am one lucky Momma.
