A little spoiling...

We were really spoiled for Easter and the week following.

It started with our neighbor telling us that she would be making a trip to Calgary (where our families live) and offering to bring back items from Laura's Mom and Dad for us. Laura's parents had been putting together a package to send for the baby (and the rest of the clan) so the timing worked out perfectly. We were so grateful for the generosity of our neighbor! It was particularly perfect as a very sentimental, irreplaceable item was going to be in the package and we were worried that it would get lost (we'll post more on that at a later date).

Then, at the last minute, Keely booked a flight to come and spend a week with us over Easter.

Both Keely and our neighbor arrived in The Netherlands (on the same day) bearing all sorts of treats and Keely was fully charged to spend time with us Crazy Cloggers. There was so much love and thought that went into the items that Laura's parents sent and it was a big help to have Keely here.

Part of the package from Laura's parents included Atticus' birthday present so he will have to wait to see most of his goodies, but he did get to open a couple of them early.

It's no secret that Atticus loves to be creative and now he has a lovely 50 pack of Crayola Felt Markers (washable...THANK YOU!!!!!) to get to work with. When Atticus opened them we couldn't get him paper quick enough.

With Queen's Day approaching we put Atticus and Keely to work decorating orange crowns with Atticus' new markers.

brainstorming what he wants to do for design

getting to work

first attempt to put the crown on

second attempt to put the crown on

after he finally let Mommy tape the crown closed, the third attempt was successful

pretty excited about the new crown and eager to color something else

The crowns stayed on for quite some time
Between the paper and the crown decorating, Atticus was busy for over an hour. A fantastic gift Grandma and Grandpa English!!!

We sure are spoiled by our fantastic family.

Love,
-The Clog Crew
