Making Ornaments at the Fine Art Museum

These are iPhone photos that didn't turn out so great, but wanted to make sure that I captured this. We love the Fine Art museum and always enjoy their family workshops on the weekend when we go. This particular time we made gingerbread boys/girls to hang on our tree. Milayla got an upset stomach just before we arrived and stayed pretty close and snuggly through the workshop. I was glad to get her home so she could have a proper lay down and rest afterward. She was so excited to have a gingerbread girl to hang on the tree though. And I made one to look like her. She was pretty excited. Atticus pulled together a brilliant one as well and went all out making one in white. Phineas wasn't too interested in making an ornament but he did walk around that workshop room like he owned the place. It was a real treasure when he found a stepping stool just his size so that he could tote it around and climb up where he liked. He's really become quite the climber!

The other day Atticus counted up all the new ornaments that we made this year and I think the total was somewhere around 9? These kids love crafting things to put on display! It's fun to see the ornaments on the tree and how excited the kids get to show them off.
